Program Outline
Recent years have seen the proliferation of mobile communications and a strong growth
in mobile systems at home and in industry. The penetration of the mobile phone market
has been phenomenal and the growth of wireless networking, Bluetooth personal devices
and internet technologies has brought about new flexibility and mobility in the
business environment. This course provides you with a broad experience of topics
relating to mobile computing, yet provides a deep understanding of how key communications
systems work. The course will develop core skills in software development, information
systems and networking whilst also exploring wireless networks, network management
and security. Optional modules such as multimedia, games design and e-Business allow
the development or your own specialist interest. In the final year you will undertake
an individual project, which will allow you to critically analyze a topic area of
your own choice
